School...

It's that time of year again....back to school *millions of children and teenagers' cries are heard throughout the world*.  As usual the beginning of summer went by slowly, until we hit July which went by in a flash, and then August moseyed along at a good pace, and now we're here...September first. Back to school means many things to many people, some have a positive outlook on it, while others dread it like it's the second coming of the plague. Personally, I fall somewhere in the middle (although I lean more towards the plague option). Going back to school means school shopping, seeing friends, learning new things, and also getting back to a somewhat normal schedule. Unfortunately, for me, school also means lots of stress, lots of work, not enough sleep, seeing people I don't like (yay for social anxiety), mental break downs, and general chaos at times. Being the realist that I am, I try to balance out these two things...even doing this the feeling of impending doom never seems to go away. Take right now for instance, I have butterflies in my stomach for school tomorrow, but whether they come out of fear or out of excitement I do not know for sure. What I'm trying to get to here, is the fact that yes, going back to school sucks on a whole lot of levels, but, it can also be really fun and exciting. So I advise you to follow in my (tentative) footsteps in trying to view going back to school holistically, rather then seeing it as the end of all days. Over and out - A butterfly filled Alice
